MUN - GIN in a glance
MUN is an acronym that stands for "Model United Nations". It is an academic simulation of the real United Nations and its operative agencies, committees and councils.
GIN is an acronym that stands for "Global Issues network". It is an international network of schools, universities and organizations with multiple interests and specialties. The network aims at spreading awareness of global issues and the application of action plans to solve them on local and international levels by high school and college students.
Objectives of participating in these programs:
1- Actualize major components of our schools’ mission and vision.
2- Application of the course taught to grades ten and eleven.
3- Increasing students’ awareness of world problems and how to contribute to solving them.
4- Increasing awareness of local issues that have global concerns and trying to solve them within their small communities.
5- Building action plans and applying them in small communities.
6- Cultural exchange
7- Language, administrative, and leadership skills
8- Promoting collaborative work and skills
9- Public speaking skills
10- Social and societal skills

To get accepted in the MUN/GIN programs, you should meet the following:
- Submit two reports about a country and an issue (one-page report). These will be given to you once you submit the consent form (Turnitin.com)
- Readiness to go through a screening process(required)
- On-level score in MAP Test (May consider one level below)
- Academic achievement of 80% or higher in the previous semester or year
- Excellent attendance records during the current year
- Recommended by your current English teacher
- Administrative approval

***Download the consent under the form, get it signed by one of your parents and turn it in within 5 working days
***Turn in the two required reports through "turnitin.com"( all details will be given once you submit the consent)
***After you pass the screening process (The interview):
***Turn in two copies from your passport (Must be valid for one year at least)
***Turn in two copies from your ID or your family's ID
***Turn in the signed health form
